Located in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, MOFAD is New York City’s first museum dedicated to food & drink. Exhibits are designed to educate and inform visitors about the culture & history of food & drink, including edible exhibits. The first exhibit “Flavor: Making it and Faking It” was a sensory experience spanning a variety flavors, with a special section on the vanilla industry– its history, controversy and manufacturing process. The staff is friendly & well-informed, bathroom facilities are available and there is a very interesting gift shop. Another surprise? They have a New Year’s party called “MOFAD New Year’s Feast.” Presented by Infinity, MOFAD’s New Year’s Eve fete is the party to go to if you’re into food and drinks. Tickets can be purchased online here.
Can you tell which one is real? “Flavor: Making It & Faking It” is fun for all age groups.
