Good news! Annual food and drink extravaganza “Queens Taste 2020” is returning to NYC this spring. As always, we expect it to be one of this season’s top food events. Showcasing delicious food and drinks from the famous borough, the Queens Economic Development Corporation and the Queens Tourism Council are again hosting Queens Taste — their annual fundraiser event. What can we expect from this year’s event? Firstly, it’s an “all you can eat” event. Hints as to what to expect this year are available on their website: “In previous years, we had Astoria’s Sabor de Cuba offer shredded beef with plantains, La Adelita in Woodside give away Mexican chalupas. Alobar in Long Island City has served savory potato pierogis with a creamy sauce, The Nest, a Guyanese/Trinidadian eatery in Richmond Hill, dished out curry, jerk, and BBQ chicken, and Bayside’s Bareburger bequeathed beer-braised bacon with stout onions on a mustard pretzel bun. On the alcohol side, we had Chris Murillo, who owns the local distillery Queens Courage, various wine purveyors, at least seven beer products from various breweries, and plenty specialty cocktails. Abstainers also had options, from Essentia Water to Bruce Cost Ginger Ale and Chatime bubble tea.”
Sounds delicious, doesn’t it? I’ve attended this event in the past and had a great time. The space, large selection of items and range of cuisine was well worth going. It’s a nice friendly group of people too. Check out some of our photos from past Queen Taste events here. For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit eventbrite or thequeenstaste.com
