On Saturday, August 19th Zachys held their first Annual Yacht Club Party at their Scarsdale store and it was fantastic! First of all, I love theme parties and this party did not disappoint. Catered by 808 Social, one of Scarsdale’s finest restaurants, it was a true celebration of both food & wine. The 808 Social team provided an elegant assortment of unlimited food to guests, including a yacht party inspired menu! The incredible selection included: lobster rolls, cantaloupe and prosciutto skewers, pork carnitas mini tacos, delicious chipotle chicken salad in phyllo cups, freshly grilled sliders on an outdoor barbecue, cowboy caviar (a delicious fresh corn and bean salad), passion fruit marinated shrimp skewers and more! Alongside the delicious food was a wonderful assortment of red and white wines provided by Brancott Estate New Zealand winery. There were some incredible bargains, including a wonderful Sauvignon Blanc priced at under $12. Numerous other great wines at amazing prices were scattered throughout the store. It really was a yacht party meets wine treasure hunt. And let’s not forget the complimentary Zachy’s Yacht Club T-shirts that came with your purchase (and you had to buy something – with all of the great wines there). Definitely a great way to enjoy a beautiful Saturday summer afternoon. By the end of the event, we had purchased several bottles of red and white wines, all of which were excellent values and perfect for a summer evening BBQ. But first we went and bought a few lottery tickets — the Powerball jackpot is now at 535 million, that’s like over half a billion dollars! We’ll toast to that.
