Brooklyn’s legendary Smorgasburg is famous for its diverse food, large crowds and hot sunny days. We’d wished for a nighttime version of this event the last time we visited the Williamsburg Smorgasburg. Looks like our wish has been granted. A Smorgasburg Night Market is coming to Manhattan’s West Side for one night only as part of this year’s New York City Wine and Food Festival! According to the description, “in honor of its 10th anniversary” the Smorgasburg along with the cast from Food Network’s hit series Chopped will host a one night only event at Pier 92. The event is scheduled to take place on Thursday, October 12 from 7 to 10 PM on the rooftop at Pier 92, and tickets are still available here as of right now. And since it’s a NYCWFF event, the offerings will be “endless” (i.e. all you can eat or until they run out). Participating chefs are listed under the event description; the dessert selections include David Chan of Wowfulls, Lloyd Ortuoste of Baonanas Banana Pudding, Leslie Noble of Noble Pies, and Luigi Fiorentino, creator of the spaghetti donut. Expect to leave stuffed.
