One of the more interesting headlines this week was published by Quartz Media – “The robot that takes your job should pay taxes, says Bill Gates.” It states “Robots are taking human jobs” and Bill Gates would like to create a robot tax with the proceeds slated towards taking care of human beings. Not an entirely new concept, in fact an article from Forbes reported the European Union was considering classifying robots as “electronic persons.” According to the article, the European Union may adopt a draft plan to address the ever increasing robotic workforce. As of February 2017, however, the European Parliment rejected the robot tax & called for a robot law instead. But wait – it gets even more complicated. Recently a woman fell in love with a robot & said they will marry
as soon as human-robot marriages are legal in France. Mon Dieu. Human-robot romance is growing & there’s even a term for it – “robosexual.” Yes. There are books offering advice & tips, such as “Love and Sex with Robots: The Evolution of Human-Robot Relationships Paperback by David Levy” available on Amazon. Next, you’ll start seeing robots on popular dating sites, such as Tinder, Match.com etc. Thinking of dating a robot? Maybe you already are.
